PERSONAL:

In her free time, Heather enjoys getting involved in a good story, whether it is TV, movies, or books. She is a particularly avid fan of science fiction and fantasy. Her favorite authors are Anne McCaffery (science fiction), Matthew Reilly (action), Sophie Kinsella (chick lit).  Heather enjoys photography, traveling (when she can find the time or money), yardwork, a good nature walk, and cooking. Currently she's experimenting with iPhoto, Facebook, and scrapbooking.

Heather grew up just south of Big Rapids, Michigan. Her dad works for the gas company (MichCon) and her mom is a retired school librarian. She has one younger sister who is a social worker in Big Rapids. Heather has two rough and tumble nephews who get a little extra spoiling when they come to visit. Heather currently lives in a small house west of Stanton with two big dogs – Cody and Ellie. Cody was rescued at 4 weeks old (in 2001) from a litter abandoned at a garbage dump. He is a Lab/Shepard mix. He loves to play ball (or really just to play) but it has to be THE ball he picks - Can dogs have OCD?  Ellie was abandoned and in need of a home at the tender age of 5 months.  She appears to be a pure black lab and joined our household in July 2006.  Ellie is full of energy and a desire to be a 60 pound lap dog!

HEATHER'S FAVORITE QUOTES:

"Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday... See - There is no someday."

"Tell me again what we are fighting for, Sam. We are fighting for the hope that there is still something good in this world, Mr. Frodo."

"Don't let yesterday use up too much of today." -- Will Rogers

"In Germany they first came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up because I was Protestant. Then they came for me - and by that time no one was left to speak up."
